FSV1STORY – Storytelling Techniques

Canon In D

We were made to watch this movie, V for Vendetta earlier on last week for contemporary issues. I was really captivated by the storyline, the characters, and the ideas that all because issues for everyone to discuss about. I was rather mesmerized by the main character V, who was really charming despite the mask and the killings. I really liked the mystery in V, I think many other girls do too! :D

The second week of school was fast and pleasant; except for the Photography workshop. I basically freaked out halfway through the shootings. I never knew how hard photography was until then! I’ve even lost the piece of paper used to record my adjustments to the different modes of camera. It looked like a piece of crumpled vegetable at the end of the day anyway.

I tried doing the 50 word stories assignment during the weekend, but I couldn’t get any inspiration. I ended up only finishing one story, and I don’t think it’s any good either! :( Oh well, I shouldn’t let that get to me! 화이팅!!!

I haven’t been practicing the piano for quite some time, I was really rusty when Shu Jun made me play songs for her. The only song that I always manage to play flawless is Canon In D. It’s in C Major so “no wonder”. Ahahahaha. Shu Jun said that the sound of the piano is very rich, like dark chocolate. Only she would be able to say that about an instrument. In a way, I like the way she described the sound. It doesn’t sound the same as Yamaha pianos, this piano is from England. Even though the keys are harder to play than Yamaha, I prefer the rich, silky sound.

My neighbour’s daughter passed away recently. She was in her early forties. I dedicate this song to her.

This reflection, even though it’s much shorter, is already improving. You’re communicating ideas. You’re using the material from class (likely The Secret Heaven) to reflect on your own life and inspirations. I think we’re really heading in the right direction and I look forward to reading your week 3 reflection (how’s that for pressure HAHAHA!!!!)
